WDIV-TV reports six training bombs and one training missile fell from a plane in northeast Michigan after leaving Selfridge Air National Guard Base en route to Camp Grayling.

The television station reports that no one was injured in the inadvertent drop of the non-explosive bombs and missile. These training bombs reportedly release smoke so pilots can see where they drop.

The non-explosive training weapons were found in a wooded area near Luzerne, according to reports.

"The phase of the flight they were in was prior to arriving to the range, so the operating procedure for that would be to have all weapon systems saved-up, so there wouldn't even be any switches, as it were, that were hot at that point," says Matthew Trumble, Director of Camp Grayling, told 9&10 news. "That's why we suspect it was most likely mechanical fault."
